When a Skin Scan Is Enough — and When to See a Dermatologist

Dermora is for cosmetic observations and daily routines. Some signals belong with a clinician. Here is a plain way to tell the difference.

What a scan is for

A Dermora analysis looks at congestion, redness, texture, dark marks, oil, dryness, and barrier comfort. It then writes a routine with ingredient types, not prescriptions. That is useful when you want a starting plan and a way to track change over weeks.

What belongs with a clinician

Book a dermatologist if the skin is painful, rapidly changing, bleeding, leaving scars you cannot explain, or if something looks unlike your usual breakouts or flushing. The same is true of swelling around the eyes, open sores, or any mark that is new, dark, and changing.

Dermora will say so in the report when a finding looks beyond cosmetic care. Follow that instruction. An app cannot replace a medical exam.

Use both without mixing their jobs

Keep using a simple routine while you wait for an appointment. Do not add stronger actives to “catch up.” After a clinician has a plan, you can still use weekly scans to watch the cosmetic side: texture, oil, dryness, and whether the daily habits are sticking.
